Command Bar

Provides various Windows Live Messenger and Messenger Plus! functions in a floating deskbar.

Command Bar provides access to many simple tasks, such as starting conversations, sending messages to contacts, changing your name, PSM, DP and status, locking Messenger and signing out. Commands are written in the format "command(flags) parameter". A drop-down list of commands is available for quick selection, as is a list of all the contacts in your contact list. Error checking is included, so you will receive error details if you type a command incorrectly. The deskbar is resizable and stays above windows, so you can position it, for example, near the minimize/maximize/close buttons.

  1. Ensure that both Windows Live Messenger and Messenger Plus! are running, and that you are signed in.
  2. Download and open the script pack, accept the warning and click "Import".
  3. Type a command into the command bar (for a list of commands, type "help()" as a command, or press the "Command" button).

version 1.2

A countdown that ticks away as your display picture! You can also customize all of the display pictures...

CountdownDP allows you to run a countdown, from 1 to 60 minutes, in your display picture. version 1.01

DevTools

This script allows you to use and create custom "tools", that can be used to create code snippet generators, notepads, code evaluators and so on.

DevTools is a script that can load and execute package files (.dtp) like scripts. It can be used to make tools for scripting (such as for storing or making code snippets, or evaluating certain script code), or for small utilities that which aren't worth making scripts for (such as notepads, reminder systems and so on). Tools, like scripts, are written in JScript (with XML interfaces), and can be written by anyone with basic scripting knowledge. A full tutorial for writing new tools can be found on the DevTools site (http://mpls.ww-c.netii.net/devtools/), or through the DevTools Browser (both in the help section). Custom tools can then be shared (with approval) onto the DevTools Database, for other users to download.

  1. Ensure that both Windows Live Messenger and Messenger Plus! are running, and that you are signed in.
  2. Download and open the script pack, accept the warning and click "Import".
  3. To start using DevTools, go to the Script Menu > "DevTools" > "Launch DevTools 1.0".

version 1.1

Fingertips

Control Messenger from your fingertips! Use the various hotkeys to access the most useful features within a clean, simplified and intuitive interface.

The idea of this script is like that of QuickKey - to provide various Messenger features under hotkeys. What makes Fingertips different is that it actually uses interfaces, which in turn allow much more in terms of interacting (see the screenshots below). The default hotkeys for this script will follow a Shift+Alt pattern, as opposed to Ctrl+Alt used in QuickKey (of course, you can still customize it to whatever modifier keys you like.

  1. Ensure that both Windows Live Messenger and Messenger Plus! are running, and that you are signed in.
  2. Download and open the script pack, accept the warning and click "Import".
  3. A dialog box will show all the available commands. Click OK when done.
  4. To open a list of open conversations, press Shift + Alt + C.
  5. To open a list of all contacts, press Shift + Alt + L.

Flip Status

Continuously change your status, cycling through every status, or online and offline only, or even your own custom status list!

With Flip Status, you can make your status continuously change, using a custom delay between changes of 0.1 seconds or above. You can pick to cycle through all statuses - either using WLM 9 (Online / Busy / Be Right Back / Away / In a Call / Out to Lunch / Appear Offline) or WLM 14 (Online / Busy / Away / Appear Offline) lists - or just appearing online or offline, or even a custom list of statuses (again, with WLM 9 and WLM 14 lists).

  1. Ensure that both Windows Live Messenger and Messenger Plus! are running, and that you are signed in.
  2. Download and open the script pack, accept the warning and click "Import".
  3. To enable/disable status flipping, go to the Script Menu > "Flip Status" > "Enable/disable Flip Status...".

version 1.1

Idle Manager

Performs various tasks after customizable lengths of time (the "Show me as 'Away' when I'm inactive for..." option must be enabled for this script to work).

Idle Manager can automatically change your name, PSM and status, sign you out of Messenger, launch a file or program, and even turn off your computer after a certain number of minutes being idle. However, the timers don't start until you actually become "Idle", so the setting to make you appear as "Away" after so many minutes adds on to any times set within the script (this is summarized on the setup interface).

  1. Ensure that both Windows Live Messenger and Messenger Plus! are running, and that you are signed in.
  2. Download and open the script pack, accept the warning and click "Import".
  3. To set the tasks to complete, go to the Script Menu > "Idle Manager" > "Setup action delays...".

version 2.01

Instant Response

When active, sends contacts a message (with the Plus! 'AutoMessage' theme), or a command to change your status, sign out or block them!

With Instant Response, you can make Messenger send automatic responses if a contact sends you a message, without having to use Personalized Statuses. The response messages can use the Plus! Auto-message style (" auto-message: ..."), or can also be Plus! /commands (for example, to block a user, send a nudge, change a status, etc.).

  1. Ensure that both Windows Live Messenger and Messenger Plus! are running, and that you are signed in.
  2. Download and open the script pack, accept the warning and click "Import".
  3. To configure the messages, go to the Script Menu > "Instant Response" > "Instant Response Control Centre..." or use the various commands to tweak individual options (start typing "/ir." in a conversation and wait for the list to appear).
  4. To enable/disable the messages, use the "Enable"/"Disable" buttons in the Control Centre or type "/ir.enable"/"ir.disable" in a conversation.

version 3.1

Interface Writer

Manage Messenger Plus! interface files with ease! Add, edit and remove interface components, test them out, format the XML file and more...

Interface Writer makes writing Plus! script interfaces much quicker. After creating a file, or skipping this (disables saving), you can add, edit and delete windows, window controls and window elements. The IDs, titles, widths and heights, templates, units and default positions of the windows, as well as whether the windows can be resized, closed, minimized and maximized, can all be customized. The IDs, types, positioning, widths, heights, captions and help texts of the controls and elements can also be customized. When an interface file is complete, it can either be saved as a Unicode XML file, or the source code can be shown and edited directly. Existing interfaces can be loaded into the editor, and any errors with the XML is noted and displayed upon loading. Windows, controls and elements all support the addition of extra code within the editor, which is also available when a file is loaded. Other features new to this version include saving as, saving copies, importing and previewing, as well as the new enhanced interface.

  1. Ensure that both Windows Live Messenger and Messenger Plus! are running, and that you are signed in.
  2. Download and open the script pack, accept the warning and click "Import".
  3. To start a new interface, go to the Script Menu > "Interface Writer" > "Create...".

version 1.01

MegaBlink

Blink your name, PSM, DP or status, or any combination! Change the blink-to values (defaults are blank) and the blink delay (default is 6 seconds).

MegaBlink allows you to repeatedly change your name, PSM, DP and status between their start values and blank values (thus creating a "blink"). A count is kept so that if you start one after another, they will both blink together. Your original details are stored so that when you stop blinking, the old name, PSM, DP or status is returned. The "blink-to" value (what the detail will change to) can also be customized.

  1. Ensure that both Windows Live Messenger and Messenger Plus! are running, and that you are signed in.
  2. Download and open the script pack, accept the warning and click "Import".

version 1.1

Plus! Counter

A simple timer for Messenger. It also allows you to edit the time, but this feature can cause errors...

With Plus! Counter, you can run a timer, measuring in hours/minutes/seconds/milliseconds or just milliseconds (total). The time can also be adjusted, but this is in beta - the total time will not be adjusted correctly, and the entire adjust section can, effectively, crash the script.

Plus! Poll

Create and participate in simple polls with other contacts. Supports true or false, yes or no, numbers-only, prompt and multiple choice questions.

Plus! Poll allows you to create and share polls with other contacts. You can ask any question, and allow other contacts to answer with either yes or no, true or false, or a number. You can also allow them to type in an answer, or let them select from a drop-down list of choices. Polls can then be sent to all contacts, online contacts, contacts that have a conversation window open, or a specific list of people. Contacts with the script will be prompted to answer the poll, whereas those without can still respond using the !poll command (instructions are automatically sent). As people respond, a toast will be shown with their answer, and from the script menu, you can open the response window, where a table of responses is shown (multiple polls and response windows can be run simultaneously).

  1. Ensure that both Windows Live Messenger and Messenger Plus! are running, and that you are signed in.
  2. Download and open the script pack, accept the warning and click "Import".
  3. To start a new poll, go to the Script Menu > "Plus! Poll" > "Create a new poll..." or type "/poll.new "[question]" [true / yes / number / prompt / "[option 1]|[option 2]|[...]"] [chats / all / online / "[contact1]|[contact2]|[...]"]" in a conversation.
  4. To end a poll, go to the Script Menu > "Plus! Poll" > "Your active polls" > "[ID] | [question]" > "End poll".

Plus! Profiles allows you to create multiple "profiles", which store a name, PSM, DP, status, AutoMessage and font colour. When enabled, the specified credentials are set, and other features are enabled if set to. There is no limit to the number of profiles you can have. The floater is a transparent, topmost window that allows quick access to profiles. Its state (enabled or disabled) is remembered between sessions.

  1. Ensure that both Windows Live Messenger and Messenger Plus! are running, and that you are signed in.
  2. Download and open the script pack, accept the warning and click "Import".

Remote Alert allows the sending and receiving of mini-alert messages in a compact window. These messages can then be replied to or forwarded. Although the script is not required for a contact to send you an alert, they must have it in order to receive them. The receiving of the alerts can be disabled at any time.

  2. Download and open the script pack, accept the warning and click "Import".
